Little victories

As you can see, there's a slide show to the right. It might appear to be a simple process to've added this, but i was totally baffled, lol. It took a very good friend of mine to help me get it right. She's incredibly patient with me, bless her.
But it's little victories like learning how to do this that can sure add to my self esteem for sure.

Another From Our Blog to Yours from SSD,lol

I never worked in the summer as a kid. My summers were spent being with the horses. We'd go riding out around the section, which was at that time, full of trails and a wonderful woods to ride through. All that's gone, sold to some guy who tore down all the woods and put it to farming (sigh. is so sad). We could ride the back roads too, then, because the traffic was low and they didn't drive like they were at the indy 500.
They were also spent getting ready for the county fair, for 4-h. I had a horse project from the time I was 13 till it was time to graduate from high school. That last year I couldn't, because I was attending college that fall. We always had a blast at the Fair. I had good friends and we spent a lot of great hours together, without a parent around for a few hours, lol.
Those summers were good. And I do miss them a lot.

Happy 4th of July, almost

It's raining here, has been for hours. The local airport says the area's gotten at least 1 inch of rain. And, it's supposed to rain tomorrow; not just that, we're talking storms, the kind with mother nature's own personal fireworks. And that's going to spoil it for a lot of folks who're planning to attend their local fireworks displays. We're not among them. It's just too much trouble. They're over half an hour away and by the time we'd get done feeding the critters and got over there, there'd not be one parking spot that'd be in a safe area and easy walking distance. So, we watch the fireworks go off in the safety of our own home via the magic of television and PBS or whoever it is carry the Boston Pops or the Capital celebration in Washington D.C. Viva modern technology!
Here's a cute little quiz called The Fireworks Test. Not too sure if I actually fit what it says, but hey, there are only 6 to choose from, lol.

What Your These Fireworks Say About You

You are a rather reserved person in day to day life.
However, you do have a few topics that truly excite you.
When you become impassioned, it's a surprise to everyone around you.
But if they blink, they'll miss it, because you get back to being calm very quickly.
